The first 50 contractor to apply will receive this Cat hat.The deadline for applications for the 2019 Equipment World Contractor of the Year contest has been extended to Friday, October 12.
Designed to honor 12 contractors who have excelled in their markets, the contest is open to construction firm owners who have been in business 10 years or more, have between $3 million and $15 million in annual revenues, have an excellent safety record and will be able to represent the construction industry in a positive way.
Each finalist and their guest will receive an expenses-paid weekend in Las Vegas, courtesy of Caterpillar, which has sponsored the program for the past 19 years.
The event includes an industry roundtable, focus group, awards banquet and a day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway watching the NASCAR Penzoil 400 on March 3, 2019. All finalists will stay at the premier Wynn Resort on the Las Vegas strip.
The 2019 Contractor of the Year winner will be featured as the cover story in the May 2019 issue of Equipment World. Stories on the remaining 11 finalists will be featured in the magazine in subsequent months.
The deadline for applying for the 2019 contest is now October 12. Applicants can either be self-nominated or nominated by others. Applicants have the choice of either filling out an online form, or downloading a form to fill out at their leisure.
And the first 50 contractors to completely fill out an application will receive a Cat hat, courtesy of Caterpillar.
