Yanmar's new SV60-6B mini excavator with tiltrotator

First launched in Europe, Yanmar is set to bring its new 5.7-metric-ton SV60-6B mini excavator to North America.
The company unveiled the compact excavator for this continent at ConExpo 2026, saying it would be arriving here soon. The SV60 weighs about 200 pounds more than the Vi055-6A, one of the company’s top-selling models that was first released in 2022. It is a zero-tailswing model, while the SV60 has a conventional tail swing.
Yanmar says the SV60 “delivers big‑excavator capability in a highly maneuverable 6‑ton package.” That bigger excavator feel extends to the cab, which the company says is the size of an 8-metric-ton model “with large legroom and space to move around freely.” It has 360-degree visibility thanks to large glass panels, a roof window for viewing loading and unloading, three mirrors showing the work area to the seated operator and a standard rearview camera.
The excavator can handle construction, land management, utility installation, landscaping and demolition tasks.
Its four hydraulic pumps can deliver up to 36.8 gallons per minute of flow and enable operators to perform multiple functions even while traveling, as well as increase cycle times and breakout forces, according to Yanmar. A control valve distributes the flow from the separate pumps “to obtain the optimal combination of speed, power, smooth operation and balance.”
The company says the excavator has class‑leading lift performance for loading.
