Emergent Safety’s new Stub-Ease is designed to eliminate slips, trips and falls caused by conduit stub-ups.
The device, made of high-density polyethylene for the electrical and concrete construction industries, is attached by embedded threaded coupling to a conduit before cement is poured.
After the pour, the Stub-Ease is cut down to the concrete slab and extracted. The coupling remains below the top of the slab.
The result is a safe opening to install the next piece of vertical conduit, the company says. Along with preventing tripping, the Stub-Ease eliminates conduit damage.
