Ditch Witch has launched its latest horizontal directional drill, the 64-horsepower JT9.
Claiming the most power in its class (Ditch Witch says 33 percent more powerful than the competition), the JT9 is powered by a Tier 4-compliant Deutz diesel engine.
The drill boasts 9,000 pounds of pullback force in a small frame allowing for easy setup and maneuverability in tight spaces. It also holds 300 feet of drill pipe and rides on “turf-friendly” tracks that turn easily. Ditch Witch says the drill features a heavy-duty anchor system, open-top vise wrenches and a remote display typically found on larger drills.
The drill features an operator’s station designed for comfort and positioned near the center of the pipe rack for easier pipe handling. Inside the station is an ergonomic operators chair that slides forward and backward and an information center which displays the machine’s engine diagnostics.
Maintenance points on the drill are located in one location and the drill has no grease zerks.
