Volvo Construction Equipment reported net sales of SEK 9.15 billion (approximately $1.2 billion) in its second quarter 2009 financial results. The results showed a 45-percent decline in net sales from SEK 16.73 billion in the second quarter of 2008. Net sales worldwide for 2009 thus far total SEK 17.3 billion, or $2.3 billion, compared to SEK 31.8 billion for the first six months of 2008.
