R.W. Moore hosts first annual Clay Day

In today’s competitive market, retaining customers can be a battle. While other companies break out creative advertisements and promotions, the employees at R.W. Moore reached for their shotguns – and invited their customers to do the same.

About 200 R.W. Moore customers and employees participated in the company’s first annual Clay Day. The event, sponsored by R.W. Moore and Benchmark, was a fun way to bring clients together for a day of sport shooting and teambuilding. Also at the event, customers could see John Deere equipment guided by Benchmark GPS systems and a forestry demonstration that built an actual pond on site at Drake Landing in Raleigh, North Carolina.

“In an effort to retain loyal customers and create lasting memories for our employees we host several teambuilding events a year,” says Dan Moore, president of R.W. Moore. “We have found that hosting a day of fun for our clients has had a substantial return on investment in the long-run.”

The event was held on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Drake Landing, a hunting preserve south of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. Guests were treated to catered breakfast and lunch, and the hosts provided shotgun shells as well as extra shotguns for customers without their own.
