U.S. government becomes United Rentals’ biggest customer

United Rentals has announced that the U.S. government became its largest customer in 2006. The company is currently the only rental agency that has a General Services Administration contract, which was issued by the federal government in 2005. Under the contract, United Rentals provides government customers with access to rental equipment, supplies, new equipment sales and services.
