Cat vice president announces retirement

Rod Bussell, vice president of Caterpillar, has announced his retirement effective May 1. Bussell has more than 32 years of experience with Caterpillar.

He began working with the company in 1974 as a systems analyst, and later was a product engineer at the track loader plant in Davenport, Iowa. Bussell was named vice president of the Mining and Construction Equipment Division in 2001. His replacement will be announced at a later date.
