Liebherr to open dealership in Maryland

Liebherr announced plans this month for a third company-owned dealership for its line of earthmoving equipment. Located in Baltimore, the dealership, which will open this summer, will also serve the needs of Liebherr customers in the scrap handling and material handling segments.

Liebherr Equipment Source was created in 2003 to form dealerships to support the company’s customers when local independent dealer representation was lost, said Duane Wilder, president of Liebherr. “When our dealers in Lorton, Va., and Jessup, Md., closed their branches we opened the Manassas, Va., location to support these customers,” he said. The company is opening the Baltimore branch as a result of a growing customer base in Maryland and northern Virginia, Wilder continued.

A Liebherr Equipment Source dealership is also located in Raleigh, N.C.
