The United States Environmental Protection Agency has named Vermeer the newest member of its Performance Track program in Region 7. Vermeer has finished three improvement projects that surpassed the company’s environmental expectations, all in the first year of its three-year Performance Track membership commitment. The firm reduced non-hazardous landfill wastes, reduced overall water use at their facility and reduced air pollution by upgrading their welding equipment. The EPA’s performance track program was established in 2000 to honor environmental excellence by challenging businesses with going above and beyond legal requirements for environmental compliance.
