Automotive News has named Cummins the recipient of the 2008 Premier Automotive Suppliers’ Contribution to Excellence (PACE) award for innovation demonstrated by the 6.7L turbo diesel engine. The award honors superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance among automotive suppliers.
Cummins’ 6.7L Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel engine is the first to meet the 2010 EPA emissions regulations in all 50 states. Using a NOx Absorber Catalyst designed and integrated by Cummins, the heavy-duty diesel pickup truck engine is cleaner and quieter, according to the company.
