U.S. military awards wheel loader refurbishing contract to Case

The U.S. military has awarded Case Construction Equipment a second contract this year, this time to refurbish nearly 100 MW24C wheel loaders for the Army’s tank, automotive and armaments command. The goal of the program is to repair the machines quickly for deployment to Southwest Asia. The wheel loaders will be refurbished according to U.S. Army standards, meaning they will be returned to fully operational condition. After a complete inspection, damaged or worn parts will be repaired or replaced as necessary. Case will provide a six-month warranty on all replaced parts. As with Case’s previous contract to remanufacture MW24C wheel loaders for the U.S. Army National Guard, much of the work will be completed at the National Guard maintenance facility at Fort McCoy, Wis. In addition, as part of a partnership plan to involve local businesses, some refurbishing will be done through St. Joseph’s Equipment, the Case dealership in La Crosse, Wis.
