Terex Trucks has named Winnipeg-based Hitrac as its dealer in Manitoba, Canada, with responsibilities of supplying and supporting the manufacturer’s full range of articulated dump trucks (ADT) throughout the province.

“We’re excited to be joining the Terex Trucks family,” says Paul Scharf, Hitrac president. “And we’re looking forward to being able to offer our customers a range of great products that are guaranteed to exceed their expectations in terms of productivity and efficiency.”

Hitrac was founded in 1974 and also carries equipment from Case CE, Terex Finlay, Terex MPS, Tramac hydraulic attachments, Badger CE and Dynapac.

“Following its previous supplier’s withdrawal from the articulated hauler market, Hitrac was left without an ADT to offer its customers,” says Matt Deloglos, director of sales and marketing Americas for Terex Trucks. “It was a natural fit for Hitrac to become a Terex Trucks dealer because of its previous experience and knowledge of the ADT market.”

Deloglos syas Manitoba has been a “solid market” for the Terex 30 and 40 ton ADTs in the past five years. “All indicators continue to show signs of steady growth in the area,” he says. “We’re looking forward to developing new customers in the province and provide Terex Trucks’ hauling solutions for Hitrac and its customers.”
