Ohio paving crew receives thanks for simple act of kindness, respect

The Shelly Company crew paving Ohio State Route 141

It’s not often that a paving company receives any recognition. More times than not, they receive complaints about road closures and traffic congestion. However, a paving crew from The Shelly Company, a CRH company, received praise earlier this year for a simple, but profound, act of kindness.

When a funeral procession passed the crew while it was paving part of Ohio State Route 141 on May 2, every crew member stopped working. It was a show of respect for the deceased and her family.

The funeral home director was so impressed with their actions that he sent the following letter to the company:
