New Holland Super Boom Road Show events raise $29,000 for Red Cross

In celebration of the launch of the new 200 Series skid steer loaders and compact track loaders, New Holland Construction sponsored a year-long series of Super Boom Road Show events across North America in 2011. These events, held at more than 30 New Holland dealerships, also provided fundraising and volunteer opportunities with local chapters of the American Red Cross and the Canadian Red Cross. As part of the world’s largest humanitarian organization, the Red Cross works to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found.

“New Holland Construction is in a unique position to support the efforts of local Red Cross chapters across the United States and Canada,” Dave December, marketing manager at New Holland Construction, said in a written press statement. “The Super Boom Road Shows gave New Holland Construction dealers and customers an opportunity to make a difference in their communities – in addition to the causes they currently support.”

The partnership with the Red Cross began at the 2011 CONEXPO-CON/AGG show in Las Vegas in March, where New Holland Construction presented a $2,500 donation to the American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter to kick-off the Super Boom Road Show program. New Holland Construction dealers and customers have showed continued support with the Super Boom Road Show events. At each event, local Red Cross chapter representatives were on site to generate awareness of local activities and recruit volunteers.

New Holland Construction also made a $500 contribution to each Red Cross chapter that participated in the Super Boom Road Show events.

“On behalf of New Holland Construction, I’m pleased to announce that, to date, New Holland Construction and our dealers have donated more than $29,000 to the Red Cross through the Super Boom Road Show events in the United States and Canada,” December said.

New Holland Construction will also be donating the net proceeds from the auction of two limited edition 200 Series skid steer loaders to the American Red Cross. The special auction begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, with a minimum starting bid of $50,000.00 for the “Cruis’n” L220 skid steer loader and $58,000.00 for the “Big Blue” L230 skid steer loader. The auction closes at 5 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2011. The top three bidders will be contacted on Nov. 3, 2011, and will have 24 hours to enter another bid. The winning bidders of the two limited edition models will be notified on  Nov. 7, 2011.
