Case Construction Equipment has received its third consecutive Silver Award for excellence from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The award recognizes the excellent performance of Case in supplying replacement parts for Case wheel loaders and rough-terrain forklifts used by the U.S. military.

Case received a rating of 99.4 percent in meeting DLA’s combined award criteria of on-time delivery, high-quality products and packaging. The rating reflects the company’s performance in completing 1,337 shipments of parts during 2010 to U.S. military facilities. To qualify for a DLA award, a supplier must record at least 50 product shipments during the year.

“The CNH commercial parts organization played a big role in helping Case receive this recognition,” said Bill Wolfe, Case federal parts sales manager, in a written statement. “Our goal as a government contractor is to have the right part in the right place at the right time.”

Wolfe accepted the Case award during the DLA annual conference, held recently in Columbus, Ohio.

Wolfe noted that Case currently supplies parts for machines the company built or remanufactured during the past 30 years, such as the M4K forklift, MW24C wheel loader and MC1150E crawler dozer.

“Case will maintain the same commitment to excellence in responding to future parts orders for our recent and current military equipment models, including the backhoe loader, the M400W skid steer and M400T compact track loader,” Wolfe said.

In addition to previous Silver-level supplier recognition in 2009 and 2008, Case also received the DLA’s Bronze supplier award in 2006. Separately, the Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Va., named Case as Best Value Gold Medalist in 2009.

The Defense Logistics Agency, based at Fort Belvoir, Va., is the Department of Defense’s largest logistics combat support agency, providing worldwide logistics support in both peacetime and wartime to the military services as well as several civilian agencies and foreign countries.
