FAE is expanding its line of road planer attachments for excavators with the new RPL/HY/Mini.
Designed for 2- to 4-ton mini excavators, the attachment mills the road’s surface with specialized teeth. The optimized tooth layout increases performance and reduces vibrations, the company says.
The RPL/HY/Mini prepares road surfaces for a new layer of asphalt or concrete. It can also simplify excavation operations.
It can mill to a depth of 3.5 inches and has a working width of 10 inches, allowing it to fit in tight spaces.
The head comes standard with a wide-stroke self-leveling system that enables proper head alignment during operation on uneven surfaces, while manual working depth adjustment provides operators with greater flexibility and control.
Two tooth options are available: the standard R/44/A for asphalt or the optional R/44/C for concrete.
Additional standard features include:
- Direct-drive transmission
- 250-cc hydraulic orbital motor
- Anti-shock block valve with relief and anticavitation valves
- Enclosed, dust-resistant machine body
- Fittings for hydraulic connections
The RPL/HY/Mini joins FAE’s RPL/EX for 8- to 14-ton excavators and the RPL/HY for 5- to 8-ton ton excavators.
