Attachment manufacturer Kage Innovation has rolled out several new options for its hydraulic wing snowplows, including:
8.5-foot Tukr Wing: A larger tapered wing designed to help operators clear snow under step-deck trailers and other low-clearance obstacles.
HydraShield Hydraulic Tire Protection System: Built directly into the hydraulic system for Kage’s SnowStorm or SnowDozer Wing Plows, the HydraShield automatically moves the wing away from the machine as the plow angles, helping prevent contact between long hydraulic wings and wheel loader tires.
Flexible, Inline 3-Button Control: Replacing Kage’s previous puck-style 3-button design for its hydraulic wing snowplows, the new control gives operators a compact, adaptable way to position plow controls directly on wheel loader and tractor joysticks.
Tukr Wing “Tucks Under” Obstacles
The new 8.5-foot Tukr Wing extension joins the existing 4-foot and 5-foot wing options in Kage’s lineup. It is designed for use on 30,000- to 50,000-pound wheel loaders, combining an extended reach with a low-profile toe. Kage says it is ideal for commercial and industrial snow removal applications, such as distribution centers, trucking facilities and other properties with a large number of parked trailers.
Named for its ability to “tuck under” obstacles, the Tukr Wing uses a tapered profile that drops to just 27 inches tall at the toe, 21 inches shorter than the SnowDozer’s 48-inch-tall center moldboard height.
The name "Tukr Wing" comes from one of its primary advantages: its ability to "tuck under" the king pin of step-deck trailers. While the SnowDozer's center moldboard stands 48 inches tall, the Tukr Wing uses a tapered profile that drops to just 27 inches tall at the toe. This allows operators to extend the plow farther beneath trailers and other obstacles where a traditional full-height wing may have limited clearance.
The Tukr Wing uses the same heel-and-toe float technology found on the SnowDozer. Rather than forcing the wing skid to remain at a fixed angle relative to the moldboard, Kage says the floating design allows both the heel and toe of the wing skid to adjust to the plowing surface.

This helps maintain more consistent pressure both the wing and on the cutting edge, promotes even wear and reduces the need for the operator to maintain a precise plow pitch.
Kage also integrated its AdvantEdge contouring cutting edge technology directly into the Tukr Wings, allowing the wings to contour the plowing surface and maintain contact with uneven pavement.
The Tukr Wing can be paired with SnowDozer Wing Plow center moldboards ranging from 10 feet to 18 feet wide. When two 8.5-foot Tukr Wings are paired with an 18-foot center moldboard, the SnowDozer Wing can clear a swath of snow measuring up to 35 feet wide.

Kage InnovationHydraShield Hydraulic Tire Protection System for Wing Plows
Kage says it developed its new HydraShield system to address a common challenge when pairing smaller center moldboards with long wings on midsize and large wheel loaders: tire contact and damage.
Rather than relying solely on operator awareness or limiting the usable range of the wing, the company says, the HydraShield uses the plow’s own hydraulic movement to automatically create additional tire clearance.
The HydraShield features a specially designed hydraulic cylinder with three ports: retract, extend and override. As the operator angles the center moldboard, HydraShield redirects additional hydraulic fluid from the plow’s angle cylinder to the override portion of the HydraShield cylinder. The farther the moldboard angles, the more fluid is pushed into the override circuit. That hydraulic pressure automatically forces the wing to kick outward and away from the wheel loader tire.
The HydraShield can be calibrated for the machine on which the plow is installed, and the desired tire clearance can be adjusted using a screw located on the bottom of the system’s accumulator.
The HydraShield comes standard on all Tukr Wing configurations and SnowStorm Wing Plows equipped with a 7-foot center moldboard. For other SnowStorm Wing and SnowDozer Wing Plows, it is available as an option.
Kage InnovationFlexible Inline 3-Button Control for Hydraulic Wing Plows
Kage’s new flexible inline three-button control for its hydraulic wing snow plows has a narrow profile and flexible construction, allowing the control to follow the shape and contour of an existing joystick.
Hydraulic wing plows require operators to control additional attachment functions that may not be incorporated into a machine's factory joystick, and traditional aftermarket solutions can be difficult to position without interfering with the operator's grip or existing machine functions.
The Kage inline controller gives installers greater freedom to position the three buttons where they are comfortable and accessible to the operator. The control can be secured to a joystick using zip ties or electrical tape, eliminating the need for a mounting bracket.
Integrated grooves in the controller help keep the zip ties in place. The flexible body can also conform to curved and contoured joystick surfaces.
The new inline control will be used across the company’s wing plow lineup — which includes the 32-inch-tall SnowFire Wing Plows, 36-inch-tall SnowStorm Wing Plows and 48-inch-tall SnowDozer Wing Plows — providing a common control solution.
