ARTBA to host workshop for state and local transportation advocates

The American Road and Transportation Builders Association wants to help local and state transportation advocates find success in getting road funding legislation passed. The organization is hosting its third annual National Workshop for State and Local Transportation Advocates this summer to give officials the tools and tips needed to advance infrastructure legislation.

According to ARTBA, the July 13 event in Washington, D.C. will bring business professionals and public officials together to discuss best practices as well as recent successful and unsuccessful transportation funding initiatives.

The National Workshop for State and Local Transportation Advocates is set to have workshops with an interactive element as well as a report on state and local transportation funding trends from ARTBA economist Dr. Allison Premo Black. The event will also host the annual meeting of the Transportation Investment Advocates Council beforehand.

  • “Maintaining Momentum After Legislation Stalls”
  • “How to Get Legislators on Your Side and Help Champions Win the Battle”
  • “Winning Local Transportation Ballot Measures”
  • “Winning Motor Fuel Tax Strategies in 2015”
