The American Society of Concrete Contractors recognized contractors with exemplary safety records at the association’s annual conference, held in September in Charlotte, North Carolina.
C. F. Jordan of El Paso, Texas, and Walbridge Concrete Services of Detroit, Michigan, were named winners of the W. Burr Bennett Awards for Safety Excellence, based on three years of safety performance indicators.
Other winners included Best Safety Achievement Award for general contractors to Webcor Builders of Hayward, California; EllisDon Services of Charleston, South Carolina and Scale Construction of Chicago Illinois. Specialty contractors winning the safety achievement award included Bartley of Ashton, Maryland; Walbridge Concrete Services of Detroit, Michigan and Trademark Concrete of Anaheim, Calfornia.
