A construction crew in Houston recently told KHOU TV that they “feared for their lives,” after being robbed at gunpoint on two separate occasions within the span of one week.
The first took place Nov. 22 when Jose Alfredo Gonzalez and several other workers were robbed by four men who “ran out of a grassy area” near a residential jobsite.
Gonzalez told the station a shot was fired before the four men held up the crew at gunpoint, taking cash and cell phones before making their getaway in a van.
Gonzalez’s phone was among those taken and he was able to track the location of that phone using GPS to an apartment complex. Shortly thereafter, however, the phone was shut off and not turned back on again.
The following Saturday at a jobsite a block away the crew was again robbed, this time by three men who took wallets and phones before speeding away.
