At first I was pretty skeptical because famous brands like the Diesel Brothers can hit market saturation to the point that their name ends up on just about everything from baby bibs to wrist bands and retro tube socks.
But then after watching a demo of Diesel Brothers: Truck Building Simulator I am definitely intrigued. Downloadable through Steam on Discovery Games, the simulator gets pretty detailed with truck parts and tools to the point that I’m leaning forward in my chair and thinking of my own projects.
For anyone who gets excited about getting that newest truck or car part (UPS and FedEx are like Santa Claus around here) it’s worth taking a look. If nothing else, it’s a great reminder of how far technology has come and the big role it can play in helping gear heads to figure out not only what they want in a truck but also how to put it together (okay, it’s a game, but still the attention to detail is promising). Also, I can’t help but wonder how many kids–and grown-ups–will be inspired to get off their duffs and get to wrenching. Hmmm…wonder if there’s a Rock Auto link in there somewhere.
