The Shelby Raptor Baja edition is a head-turning, dirt-scrambling beast

Shelby Raptor 1The Shelby Raptor Baja edition has arrived and with it comes plenty of power and features.

The twin-turbo Ford Performance EcoBoost V6 gets a custom cold-air performance intake system and tune which squeezes out over 525 horsepower and 610-plus foot pounds of torque in either the 2017 or 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor.

But what’s a truck without a suspension disclaimer? The four-corner adjustable system developed with FOX Racing is designed to easily adapt tool-free to any terrain. Shelby notes that the external bypass system will generate some noise in the rear at low speeds. As long as it doesn’t sound like a busted kazoo, I’m sure Raptor Baja owners will be more than happy to hear it. (Now, I’m really curious to hear what it sounds like).

The truck gets a 3-inch lift and sports high performance BFGoodrich KM2 35/12.50R18 tires mounted to 18-inch alloy wheels.

Even the hood gets in on the act and features fully functional ram air vents layered with head-turning Shelby striping and lettering. Eight LED lights are mated with the custom front bumper, rear bumper and chase rack.

Metal rock sliders with automatic running boards make it easier to step up and sit in Shelby Raptor Baja edition embroidered custom leather seats. Custom floor mats and console badging proudly display the iconic Shelby name. Check out the list below for more Baja Raptor features.

If you’ve already bought a 2017 F-150 Raptor, no worries. A titled truck conversion is listed at $49,295. A brand new Shelby Baja Raptor at an authorized Shelby Ford dealer has an MSRP of $117,460.
