The American Road and Transportation Builders Association elected Dr. C Michael Walton, professor of civil engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, as its 2006-2007 chairman.
Walton previously served as editor for a variety of technical reference books and manuals, in addition to working as an analyst for transportation policy and engineering for over 35 years. He has also written or contributed to at least 250 publications pertaining to transportation systems, freight transport and transportation engineering, planning, policy and economics.
