Leica Geosystems announced Sept. 22 it is working with government agencies and disaster relief organizations responding to the effects of Hurricane Katrina. The company says its employees have provided spatial expertise training to state disaster management agencies, support to federal departments and assistance to international organizations. Leica is offering its equipment, personnel, temporary software licenses, training and technical support to any organization with geospatial information needs related to relief efforts.
