Volvo Rents, All American Rentals sign franchise deal
Volvo Construction Equipment Rents recently signed a rental franchise agreement with All American Rentals of Oakland, Calif. The company will open independently owned Volvo rental centers in the Oakland area, with the first center opening this month.

ArvinMeritor to supply components to Navistar
ArvinMeritor announced plans to supply Navistar International’s International Truck and Engine Corp. with $1.2 billion in air brakes, axles, and slack adjusters on Wednesday. The trade agreement between the companies will extend until 2010.

Ingersoll-Rand upgrades website
Ingersoll-Rand unveiled an upgrade to its corporate website Tuesday. The site underwent a redesign in an attempt to make it easier to navigate and to incorporate new interactive tools. Additions to the site include an electronic publication of the company’s governance policy, an investment calculator and a search engine for information about the company and its products.

Caterpillar receives EPA certification
Caterpillar’s Advanced Combustion Emission Reduction Technologyrecently received certification by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to power the company’s C7 engine. The engine, popular for use in school buses, emergency vehicles, delivery trucks and recreational vehicles, is offered in the 190- to 330-horsepower range.

Cashman Equipment names Tesmec sales rep
Cashman Equipment Company recently announced the appointment of Dwayne Wilson as Tesmec sales representative for Nevada and Arizona. Cashman is a dealer for Caterpillar construction equipment and power solutions and is also a dealer for Tesmec trenching equipment.

Dana names vice president of global sales, marketing, product planning
Dana Corporation’s Commercial Vehicle Systems appointed Frank Sheehan vice president of global sales, marketing and product planning March 18. As part of his new position, Sheehan will be responsible for all sales and marketing on the international level. Commercial Vehicle Systems designs, manufactures and markets front-steer, rear-drive, trailer and auxiliary axles for the commercial vehicle market.

Stone president, COO appointed to industrial development agency board
President and COO of Stone Construction Equipment Lynn Woodworth was recently appointed to a six-year term on the Board of Directors for the Ontario County, New York, Industrial Development Agency. Stone Construction Equipment manufactures concrete and mortar mixers, hand-held compaction equipment, ride-on asphalt and dirt rollers and trench compactors.
