Wyoming Transportation Commission approves $12.4 million in contracts

Wyoming welcome signThe Wyoming Transportation Commission has awarded 11 projects valued at $12.4 million, with two of the projects being funded through increased fuel tax revenue.

The projects include:

 

Rehabilitation work on three bridges in Natrona County including U.S. 20 bridges over Casper Creek in Mills and the F Street Bridge over the Platte River in Casper.

Value: $1.95 million, funded through Wyoming’s 10-cent fuel tax increase

Contractor: Reiman, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Complete date: Oct. 31

New pavement layer to 4.5 miles of U.S. 310 near Greybull.

Value: $1.4 million, funded through the 10-cent fuel tax

Contractor: Mountain Construction, Lovell, Wyoming

Completion date: Oct. 31

Rebuilding work of roughly 1 mile of West Fifth Street (WYO 330) in Sheridan, including sidewalks, curb and gutter.

Value: $2.89 million

Contractor: Mountain View Building, Sheridan, Wyoming

Completion date: Oct. 31

 

Bridge rehabilitation on three bridges on Interstate 80 in Uinta County, including new concrete pavement, deck rehabilitation and new approach slabs.

Value: $1.8 million

Contractor: Cannon Builders, Blackfoot, Idaho

Completion date: Oct. 31

Chip sealing preservation work on 30 miles of U.S. 20-26 between Casper and Shoshoni, U.S. 26 between Shoshoni and Riverton and WYO 789 between Riverton and Lander.

Value: $1.2 million

Contractor: Intermountain Slurry Seal, Watsonville, California

Completion date: Aug. 31

 

Chip sealing on 17 miles of highways including Grand Avenue between 30th Street and I-80 in Laramie, and US 287 north of Rawlins.

Value: $832,000

Completion date: Aug. 31

 

Patching preservation on three highways in Laramie County, including Lincolnway (US 30) from College Drive to Pershing Boulevard in Cheyenne, Horse Creek Road (WYO 211) about 16 miles northwest of Cheyenne, and WYO 215 immediately south of Albin.

Value: $1.1 million

Completion date: Oct. 31

 

Concrete slab replacement on I-80 at v various locations between Cheyenne and Pine Bluffs and at the intersection of Third Street and Curtis Street in Laramie.

Rehabilitation work on a US 30 bridge about 5 miles south of Kemmerer, and a deck sealant on the US 26-89 bridge over the Snake River south of Hoback Junction.

Addition of a left-turn lane to US 14 for eastbound traffic turning left onto Ranchester Five Mile Road to access the new elementary school there.

Wetland creation on Old Woman Creek near the intersection of WYO 270 and US 85 about 21 miles north of Lusk. WYDOT is required to create new wetland acreage whenever one of its projects decreases the size of an existing wetland.
