WASHINGTON, DC, January 11, 2010 – Association Vision, a Washington, DC-area communications company, has been named publisher of Surface Transportation magazine, the official magazine of the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA).
The magazine covers the latest information about concrete pavements and news from the transportation community. It is sent to key decision-makers representing concrete pavement contractors, cement companies, equipment and material manufacturers and suppliers, plus thousands of federal, state, and local government officials who hire transportation contractors.
“Association Vision was the clear choice among several highly competitive publishing proposals,” said ACPA Vice President of Communications Bill Davenport. “The detailed analysis, creativity, and innovation that Association Vision offers will take Surface Transportation to new heights in the new decade ahead.
“This publishing project is a perfect fit for the skills and capabilities of our company,” said Association Vision President Al Rickard, CAE. “We look forward to working with ACPA.”
“We are enthusiastic about the value the magazine provides our association members and other readers,” Davenport said, adding, “Working closely with Association Vision, we expect to enhance that value even further by bringing forth a new dimension in communications.”
In addition to revamping the magazine editorial and redesigning the publication, Association Vision will expand the online presence and web content of Surface Transportation, create a blog, conduct search engine optimization, and provide detailed metrics on unique online visitors, advertising impressions, click-throughs, and page views.
Association Vision will also expand the advertising base to include nonmember companies, redesign the magazine, target new markets for circulation, and conduct a comprehensive readership survey. It will also publish the annual ACPA Membership Directory.
