GMC is set to release its 2014 Sierra Denali, available with a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8, this fall, our sister site, Equipment World, reported.
GMC says the engine will make the Sierra Denali “the most powerful pickup truck engine on the market,” delivering an estimated 420 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The light-duty truck is expected to boast a 12,000-pound towing capacity.
GMC also said the 6.2-liter V-8 will be available to Sierra SLT models in the fall.
The truck comes standard with a 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V-8 engine, which offers an EPS-estimated 23 mpg on the highway.
In addition to its power and fuel economy, the Sierra Denali includes exterior aesthetics like a Denali-specific chrome grille, 20-inch chrome wheels and polished stainless steel exhaust.
In the cab, the pickup includes a Bose sound system, heated and cooled leather front seats and steering wheel, front and rear park assist, a customizable eight-inch driver display between the speedometer and tachometer and a second eight-inch display in the center console. The driver’s display delivers settings, audio and navigation information.
An optional Z71 off-road package and a Driver Alert package will also be available with the Sierra Denali. The Driver Alert package includes Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and Safety Alert Seat Technology.
