The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission (MHTC) has named Patrick McKenna as the new director of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), replacing Roberta Broeker who served as interim director since April.

“I am excited and honored to take on the director’s position at MoDOT,” McKenna said. “Missouri faces a lot of transportation challenges, but MoDOT’s employees have proven time and again they can handle it. The department’s nationwide reputation for innovation is proof of that.”

McKenna most recently served as New Hampshire Department of Transportation deputy director, where he was the top financial, operating and legislative officer. He also previously served as chief financial officer for the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Senate.

“After a nationwide search, the commission knew Mr. McKenna had the vision and experience to lead the department to a new level of success and achievement,” MHTC Chairman Stephen Miller said.
