Small, maneuverable HDD designed to shoot and move

For short distance boring the Vermeer D7x11 horizontal directional drill has a 47-horsepower engine cranking out 1,300 foot-pounds of rotational torque and 9,000 pounds of thrust/pullback using 6-foot lengths of drill stem. Dual hydrostatic pumps provide dedicated hydraulics to power specific functions. The unit’s small footprint and carriage travel speed (105 feet per minute) help maneuverability on the jobsite. An open top vise system, floating head design and dual stakedowns promote stability and productivity and a rack-and-pinion drive eliminates chain maintenance.
