Ken Cook gains Certified Professional in Learning and Performance

Warren Metzger of Ken Cook was recently awarded with a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance designation by the American Society for Training & Development. As of April 2007, only four individuals have been awarded this credential.

Preparation to qualify for such an award requires months, often years, of work and experience. Upon qualifying, applicants are required to pass a knowledge-based exam consisting of 150 questions on the nine areas of expertise in the training field.

Following the exam, applicants must submit a work project, which includes a sample of a training program the applicant has developed, along with two essay questions on the training profession. The work product must relate to one of the three areas of expertise: designed learning, delivery training or measuring and evaluating.
