Severe-duty shredder makes quick work of debris

Protoworks has launched the Schred Max 56 SD, a primary reduction shredder that works well in difficult stump processing jobs regardless of dirt, mud, rock, iron fence posts and wire. Stump and land clearing debris processed by the unit can be left on site. Wear and tear to the unit is kept to a minimum as the open cutter deck allows aggregate, dirt, sand and other abrasives to fall through without wearing the replaceable cutters.

The shredder uses a single 9-inch, auto-reversing shaft and five double-tipped, 3-1/2-inch-thick aggressive bi-directional cutters. These allow the unit to process virtually any bulk feedstock material. The hopper opening measures 5 feet by 6 feet and the hopper has a volume of 4 cubic yards.
