Brush chipper comes with SmartFeed system

Vermeer Manufacturing’s BC1400 brush chipper is powered by a 122-horsepower Caterpillar engine and comes standard with the company’s SmartFeed system. The patent-pending system allows you to monitor how quickly the engine loses rpms rather than reacting based on a predetermined setting. The SmartFeed computer controller automatically stops or reverses the feed rollers if an engine loses rpm. If the rollers stop and the drum does not return to full rpm within a predetermined time frame, the feed rollers automatically reverse the material, minimizing contact between the material and the drum to relieve friction created by the two surfaces. An all-new feed roller control bar and integrated bottom feed stop are also standard on the BC1400.
