Construction software developer HCSS, of Sugarland, Texas, was named one of the top 15 small workplaces in America by the Wall Street Journal‘s September 28 edition.
The WSJ chose winners based on company teamwork, flexibility and employee benefits. HCSS benefits include open book management, professional development classes, a wellness program, an exercise facility with weekly training classes and employee ownership with profit sharing.
The company just moved into a new 45,000 square foot facility with a 200-meter running track, a jogging trail, outdoor soccer field, covered basketball court and a Wi-Fi enabled courtyard with barbeque pits for lunchtime grilling.
“We try to provide an environment that attracts and retains top talent and keeps employees happy,” says HCSS founder and CEO Mike Rydin.
