Kawasaki has announced the 115Z7, a new Tier 4 interim-compliant, 8.3-cubic-yard wheel loader capable of fulfilling high-volume loadout requirements and heavy duty applications such as shot-rock loading.
Equipped with a general purpose bucket that can load 12.5 tons in a single pass, the 115Z7 also handles quarry, coil handling, hot slag and asphalt plant applications.
Designed for demanding environments, the loader features a 531-net-horsepower 16-liter Isuzu engine and has a full box-section rear chassis, heavy-duty center-pin area and dual z linkage for breakout force and bucket visibility. Kawasaki says the 115Z7 is the only wheel loader in its class to have standard full fenders, mud flaps and traction control.
Additional features such as power modes, efficient acceleration, IntelliDig, lock-up clutch, auto-idle shutdown and load-sensing open center hydraulics provide fuel economy combined with performance.
Standard joystick steering and pilot-assisted hydraulic controls ensure lower operator fatigue, and hydraulic-over-hydraulic steering ensures the machine performs at any speed.
Simplified maintenance is addressed via angled ladders, wide-access engine compartment doors, easy-to-reach cooling fan and battery box, grouped lube points and ground level fluid check points and fueling. Hydraulic oil change intervals are 4,000 hours, and engine oil changes and greasing are 500-hour intervals.
