Alta Equipment Group is buying Gibson Machinery, a full-line heavy equipment dealer located near Cleveland, Ohio. The acquisition brings Alta's construction equipment to 32 locations in eight states and adds several new OEM partners, according to Alta.
Gibson Machinery currently represents Doosan, Genesis, Indeco and Sennebogen lines. It offers sales, service, rentals, replacement parts and equipment financing for customers in the construction, recycling and steel and demolition market.
Ryan Greenawalt, Chief Executive Officer of Alta, says: "Adding the Gibson team to the Alta family supports our growth within the Great Lakes region while broadening our best-in-class product portfolio and service capabilities. The transaction presents a good opportunity to expand our service operation and OEM relationships."
Alta says Gibson generated approximately $19 million and revenue and had an adjusted EBITDA of about $3.2 million for the trailing 12-month period ended 2021. The deal is expected to be finalized in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
Foley Equipment names CFO
Foley Equipment has named Michael Collins chief financial officer, heading up the first financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax and credit activities, as well as overseeing the company's IT and enterprise process management teams.
Foley Equipment is part of Foley Industries, and serves as the Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and Western Missouri.
White Cap buys Tri-Supply & Equipment
White Cap Supply Holdings has purchased Tri-Supply & Equipment, based in New Castle, Delaware, with locations also in Salisbury, Maryland and Dover, Delaware. The acquisition the second for White Cap and the first in the United States since becoming an independent company in October 2020.
Nextran Truck Centers Expands
Mack Trucks dealer Nextran Truck Centers has acquired Westfall-O'Dell Truck Sales, making the acquisition one of the largest by a Mack dealer in the past five years. The buy adds three Mack locations to the Nextran footprint, brining the company's Mack facilities to 20.
Nextran currently has locations in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. With this acquisition it adds locations in Grand Junction, Colorado, Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri.
