John Deere gives L-Series backhoes more powerful engine; 310SL also gets new hydraulics
Five years after launching its L-Series backhoes, John Deere continues to upgrade the models, with the latest advancement being a more powerful engine.
Deere’s 4.5L PowerTech EWL engine now comes on the 310L, 310SL, 315SL, 310SL HL and 410L. It delivers 3 to 7 more horsepower, depending on the model, over the previous PowerTech Plus engine.

Hyundai parent expected to buy Doosan Infracore; agreement by year’s end
Fulfilling earlier rumors, the Korean powers Hyundai and Doosan Group have reached a deal that will see Hyundai agree to buy a controlling stake of Doosan’s Infracore equipment division by the end of the year, according to the Korea Economic Daily and other media outlets.
Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings is buying a 36% controlling stake of Doosan Infracore, a division of Doosan Group comprised of both Doosan’s own brand of machines and those of the Bobcat brand which it acquired in 2007. The sale is expected to be finalized in mid-2021.

Actually, the 2021 Ram 3500 is the New King of Heavy Duty Torque and Towing
Though Ford and Chevy enjoyed a brief shouting match over who could rightfully lay claim to the top Class 3 towing capacity among heavy-duty pickups, Ram went ahead and settled it for them with the announcement that the 2021 3500 HD would take that crown, thank you very much.
Though the Ram HD lineup remains largely unchanged for 2021, the truck maker was able to squeeze a bit more torque out of its 400-hp High Output Cummins turbodiesel while adding a healthy 2,000 pounds of towing capacity to its largest pickup.
