Ditch Witch’s new RT80 brings heavy-duty trenching to tight jobsites

Ditch Witch has redesigned its RT80 ride-on trencher for fitting into narrower spaces on urban and rural jobsites where larger trenchers can’t go.

The mid-sized trencher can also be moved from job to job easier with a modular design for quickly changing between tracks and tires in the field. It can be transported with a standard drop-deck trailer when it’s equipped with tracks.

New Power Curbers 5700-D curb-gutter paver makes it easier to go stringless

Power Curbers will roll out the next generation of its most popular curb and gutter concrete slipform paver in January, with an eye toward making it easier for contractors to go to stringless 3D paving.

The new Power Curber 5700-D, which replaces the 5700-C, will come ready to be quickly connected to any of the three major aftermarket players in 3D stringless systems: Leica, Topcon and Trimble. The paver will do this through the company’s new SlipSmart controls, which are designed for simplicity and precision and interface with the aftermarket 3D systems.

VIDEO: Roxor’s new Roxbox 4×4, RBT 2000 dump trailer built for construction, mining and ag work

If you’ve driven by or stopped at your local powersports dealer in the last couple of years, maybe you’ve seen the Roxor. It looks like a mini Jeep and it has the mini price tag to match. Starting at around $16,000, Roxor is side-by-side style 4×4 with steel construction and a turbocharged diesel engine made by a U.S. division of India’s Mahindra. And though Mahindra is primarily known for its tractors and agricultural equipment here in the U.S., according to Roxor’s Eric Anderson, this capable 4×4 is likely only the first foray into the U.S. automotive market for the company.

Bobcat E42, E50 increase performance in launch of new R2 Series excavator lineup (VIDEO)

A new fuel system, a new cooling system, a new hydraulic system and better performance. These are the first of Bobcat’s new R2 Series excavators.

Bobcat has introduced the E42 and E50 compact excavators, the first of its new R2 Series. The E42 is a conventional tail swing machine designed to fit through tight access points like doors and gates. Its weight also allows it to be transported on a 10,000-pound trailer.
