United Rentals to expand operations in Charlotte

United Rentals is in the midst of hiring 150 people to expand its operations in Charlotte, the Charlotte Observer reports.

The company has leased a three-story, nearly 100,000-square-foot building in University Research Park and expects to move in by mid-2020, reports the paper.

The Charlotte Business Journal says the new jobs will bring the local headcount for United Rentals to nearly 500 — it employs 335 in Charlotte now.
