Court slaps down EPA cross-state air pollution rule

In a major setback to the Obama administration, a federal district court vacated the EPA’s cross state air pollution rule today. Click here for the full story.

The EPA’s rule had been used to hamstring coal fired power plant construction, claiming that any utility wanting to build a coal powered electrical plant had to first  consider the environmental impacts and air quality regulations of states down wind from the plant.
