Initially developed at the request of Caterpillar mechanics from Finning, the largest Cat equipment dealer in the world, VMAC introduced at the recent ICUEE trade show a Cat-powered 6-in-1 Multifunction Power System. The system, powered by a Cat C1.1 engine, was first released to the Cat mechanics it was made for, but is now available to all other customers across North America.
The VMAC 6-in-1 system includes:
- A rotary screw air compressor
- Generator
- Welder
- Battery booster/charger
- PTO with optional hydraulic pump
- Integrated cold climate kit
“Finning approached our team to help them accomplish their sustainability goals, and asked us to create a variation of our Multifunction Power System that used a Caterpillar engine,” said Gord Duval, VP of Marketing & Sales at VMAC. “We have worked with Finning for more than 20 years and are always happy to collaborate on innovative new products.”
VMAC says the C1.1 “provides additional benefits beyond the typical multi-power system including lower engine speeds, less noise and easy maintenance through single-side servicing.
The C1.1 also requires less maintenance and only needs to be serviced every 500 hours, VMAC adds. Other small industrial engines typically require 100-200 hour service intervals.
The Cat-powered 6-in-1 Multifunction Power System is available now at all VMAC dealers.
