With improved durability, comfort and fuel economy, Kobelco has introduced the SK850LC-10.
The largest model in Kobelco’s latest generation of excavators, the 185,700-pound machine is powered by a Tier 4 Final Hino engine that delivers 510 horsepower.
Kobelco is touting a 17-percent improvement on fuel economy with this machine thanks to an Eco mode and the inclusion of an enhanced hydraulic line layout. The machine also benefits from a variable-geometry turbocharger and a new selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system.
Bucket digging force is 90,598 pounds while drawbar pull is 146,800 pounds. Kobelco says the machine offers improved productivity while working on rough terrain and slopes.
Kobelco says it has also improved lever control force by 25 percent to reduce operator fatigue. The SK850LC-10 features more climate control outlets inside its larger cab. A FOPS top guard, rear-view camera and swing flashers come standard on the machine.
For simplified maintenance, the excavator offers easy access to machine data as well as to the cooling unit, engine compartment and to the electrical components.
