JCB’s new 210 radial-lift and 215 vertical-lift skid-steer loaders pack 20 percent more horsepower than the company’s similar sized models, representing the first in the small-frame lineup powered by the JCB by Kohler 74 horsepower engine.
The 210 comes with a base rated operating capacity (ROC) of 2,100 pounds, and the 215 has an ROC of 2,150 pounds. Buyers can choose to boost the ROC on each machine by 200 pounds, with an optional dealer-fitted “suitcase” counterweight kit.
The machines’ high-flow auxiliary hydraulic circuit delivers 136 liters per minute to power such high-flow attachments as cold planers, augers and trenchers.
“High-flow hydraulics allow our operators to perform more tasks more efficiently, use a greater range of attachments and complete tasks faster,” says Tim Burnhope, JCB innovation and growth officer.
Neither skid steer requires a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and both are Tier 4 Final compliant. They also feature JCB’s PowerBoom design with exclusive side-door entry for increased safety. The company says the cab design also provides 60 percent better visibility and 46 percent more space than “competitive models in this size class.”
