RSC unveils easier-to-navigate website

Construction equipment rental company Rental Service recently unveiled an updated website, rentalservice.com, in an effort to open communication between the company and its customers. Customers can now use the website to search for used equipment, find local dealers of new equipment, search for RSC locations, browse through clearance merchandise and go to manufacturer links.

The site was redesigned to be more user-friendly and easier to navigate through the company’s three business markets: RSC, Prime Industrial and Prime Energy.

“Our goal was to provide a new, easier-to-follow navigation system for our customers visiting rentalservice.com as well as to update the content and images to be more in line with our current branding efforts,” said Ellen Steck, vice president of eBusiness and marketing for Rental Service. “We want to continually provide [our customers] with technology resources that make doing business with us simple.”

According to Freek Nijdam, chairman and chief executive of Rental Service, the primary purpose of the website is to ensure his company is accessible to customers for any rental equipment need that they may have.

“We have many different customers who rely on each of our three business areas within Rental Service,” Nijdam said. “Our website is designed to work in tandem with every other facet of the company from the stores to our corporate office, so customers can benefit from ever aspect of rental service.”

While RSC serves the construction market with heavy equipment and commercial construction rentals, Prime Industrial targets the industrial and petrochemical rental segments and Prime Energy is focused on the oil-free air/generator and temperature control industry.

Rental Services Corp. is a company within the Atlas Copco Group, which develops and manufactures electric tools, compressed air equipment and generators, construction and mining equipment and assembly systems. The group is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
