Illinois Tollway seeks bids for $45 million in engineering services for Move Illinois projects

Illinois TollwayThe Illinois Tollway is looking for design and construction management firms to bid on 10 new contracts worth $45 million as part of the Move Illinois program.

Submissions are due Feb. 9 and will be awarded in May, with work expected to begin this year.

“The Illinois Tollway is committed to creating opportunities for firms of all types and sizes to participate in the Move Illinois Program,” says Illinois Tollway Executive Director Greg Bedalov. “More than 120 professional engineering service contracts have been awarded since the capital program launched in 2012, and the new contracts advertised today will provide ongoing work and jobs for the construction industry.”

Advertised contracts include:

  • A construction management contract for work upon request on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) Rebuilding and Widening Project and systemwide improvements including bridge rehabilitation or reconstruction, retaining wall repairs, right-of-way fence installation and landscaping.
  • Two construction management contracts for work upon request systemwide including bridge and pavement repairs.
  • A construction management contract for work upon request for maintenance facilities improvements.
  • A construction management contract for work upon request for facilities improvements, signing and pavement markings.
  • Two design contracts for roadway and bridge rehabilitation on the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88).
  • Two design contracts for roadway and bridge rehabilitation on the Veterans Memorial Tollway (I- 355).
  • A contract for environmental studies upon request.
