The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has launched a radio station dedicated to I-70 road and traffic information, according to the Reporter-Herald. The station will be part of the Change Your Peak Drive campaign which aims to educate people about driving safely in winter mountain conditions.
“We wanted to be able to share the most up-to-date information with the public,” CDOT director of communications Amy Ford said, according to the Reporter-Herald. “I think everyone has been sitting in traffic on I-70 and wondering what is going on up there. So you, as a driver, can make informed decisions about what you want to do with your trip.”
The radio station will be on air on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. to coincide with peak traveling hours. You can listen to the station through CoTrip.org or the CDOT mobile application.
