Leica Zeno provides easy asset management

Leica Geosystems introduced the Leica Zeno, a new series of GNSS/GIS products for the asset management market. The Zeno GIS series makes it easier for contractors to manage and maintain assets, inspect infrastructure, respond to emergencies, ensure public safety, explore natural resources and conduct as-built and incident mapping.

The Zeno line comes with rugged GNSS/GIS handhelds equipped with field software. The Zeno 10 features a color graphic display in portrait format with a numeric keypad, and the Zeno 15 features a full QWERTY keyboard with displays in landscape format.

Both handhelds support dual-constellation (GPS/GLONASS) tracking and use field software based on an OEM version of the ESRI ArcPad 8 software. The handhelds are equipped with an integrated digital camera for linking photos to feature locations.

The dual constellation tracking promotes high productivity, even in areas such as urban canyons where tree canopy blocks the number of visible GPS satellites.

The Zeno Field software easily controls the GNSS receiver and manages raw data logging, handles real-time configurations, uses feature accuracy management and eases workflow between the field and office.

The Zeno line introduces Leica’s EasyIn, which manages dataflow between the field and office. EasyIn simultaneously checks in features and GNSS raw data while automatically post-processing GNSS observations and updating feature vertices to the most accurate location.
