The Wyoming Contractors Association’s (WCA) awarded the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) the National Construction Craft Training Award at AGC’s 89th Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada this week. The WCA founded the McMurry Center to provide members with continuous training of employees, and to provide a source of workers through high school, apprentice, and college programs instructing in construction trades and technologies. The center also meets the requirements of the federal apprenticeship program.
“AGC recognizes excellence in training each year at the annual Convention,” says Stephen E. Sandherr, chief executive officer of AGC. “Training is vital to the safety and success of the construction profession, and we applaud WCA for their achievements.”
