This year’s World of Asphalt 2006 will feature a live equipment demonstration displaying technological advancements in roadbuilding techniques .The show will take place March 13-16 in Orlando.
The event, themed “Best Practices with New Technology,” will allow attendees to see firsthand the latest techniques to build pavements with optimum smoothness and density. Equipment will operate across six lanes and demonstrate milling, brooming, tacking, paving, rolling and testing.
The National Asphalt Pavement Association’s Associate Member Council is spearheading the demonstration event, which will feature several NAPA associate-members along with NAPA contractor members.
Along with the equipment demonstration, classroom sessions will also be offered at the show. These include the Asphalt Pavement Alliance’s Asphalt Pavement Conference and the People, Plants and Paving Training Program. Participants will receive certificates of attendance to document professional development hours.
The World of Asphalt 2006 will have more than 60,000 net square feet of exhibit space and feature close to 200 companies. Machines showcased will include asphalt production and recycling equipment, roadbuilding machinery, maintenance equipment, soil stabilizers, safety equipment, chemical and petroleum products, pollution control products, trucks, trailers and specialty-paving products.
